Subject: Update
Hi Dr. De Lia,
I must have been napping when you called…I just listened to my
messages..so sorry I missed you. Things
are OK here. I went to UCONN again
yesterday and first had an ultrasound to measure the babies again.
(they say Ben is 1lb, 11oz and Josh is 15oz).
( I vomited right before the ultrasound…not sure why – I felt fine
both before and after and I haven’t vomited since…)
Then we went to Labor and Delivery where Dr. Michael DeRoche did the amnio
reduction. I usually do just fine
during these procedures… but during the procedure I began having contractions
like I did in
Wisconsin
and the
pain was excruciating. They were
able to take out a little under 2
liters which was enough to make me comfortable for a few days and I go back next
Tuesday for another reduction.
They
checked my blood pressure both before and after the procedure and it was
fine…my pulse rate was a little high before the procedure but that could have
been due to anxiety…I had gone to UCONN this past Tuesday as well and they did
take blood to check on it – they agreed that the blood results that you sent
home with us were pretty disturbing. I
haven’t received any results from their test as of yet.
I am staying as horizontal as possible and have lots of support around me
to help out around here as well as
Jeff
rey
who has
turned into Superman during this whole thing.
I’m drinking my 4 cans of Boost as well.
We’ll
be home all night if you need to reach us.
Thanks
so much,
Lisa
Cote
