Lisa,
I spoke with Dr. DeRoche
yesterday who seem to feel that the amnios aren't going to do it.
I am operating on a couple from
San Francisco
today, and plan on calling you tonight to get the ball rolling.
I am thinking of next Tuesday as the day of surgery (based on the date of
you last amnio). You can contact
Mary at the TTTS Foundation and tell her you'll need to fly from
Hartford
to
Milwaukee
next Monday.
Sincerely,
Dr. De Lia

Subject: another update...
Once again, thank you for
all of your thoughts and prayers and support…I went to UCONN again on Monday
and they removed another 3 liters of fluid from me.
The size difference in the babies has increased which is not a good sign.
There is now a 37 percent difference in the size of the babies..so the
amnio reduction isn’t doing the trick like we had hoped.
Therefore, I am scheduled to
have the laser surgery in
Wisconsin
next Tuesday.
It’s our only option at this point, but hopefully it will give the boys
a better chance for survival if we have it done.
We don’t know what time the surgery will take place…or any more
details than what I’ve written…but as soon as we do know more…we’ll let
you all know…
Love
and peace
Lisa
Cote
