Subject: "A Mother's Thoughts"...

First, please let me thank each and everyone of you that I have been emailing throughout these past few months…Thank you for all of your replies, for your prayers, for your presence (both physical and in spirit…), and for your support.  Really… I believe it was, and is, all of those loving arms and hearts surrounding us that has given me the strength to carry on.  And I know Jeffrey feels the same way.

The service on Sunday was very nice and made so special by the abundant number of folks who were there.  It was overwhelming to look out and see so many people who came out to support us – many people traveled such far distances to be there for us and Jeffrey and I were so touched.   And we know those of you who were unable to be there in person were thinking and praying for us that afternoon – and we felt it.

It seems strange today (and I’m sure it will continue as things begin to die down a bit) to not have any “updates” to write or a service to plan or a hospital to visit.  Sometimes I feel like we are truly back to “normal” – as if I was never pregnant at all.  It’s a very empty feeling and sort of like it was all a dream.  But when I look back on the email replies, and the pile of beautiful cards I know that it was NOT a dream but very real – and all of you are now, because of this experience, a part of my family and very dear to my heart.  Your kindnesses will NEVER be forgotten.

Many people have asked me for a copy of what I read at Ben and Joshy’s memorial service.  Although it is a VERY personal thing…I feel as if I’ve opened my heart to all of you so much already and I trust all of you enough to share this with you also.  It is a MS Word document so if any of you have a problem opening up the attachment, please email me back and I’ll put it in the body of an email for you.

God bless…You will all continue to be in my thoughts in the coming days.  Thank you all again.

 Love, Lisa
